This was a study of a cute Robin painted along with an artist I follow on Behance, Adobe’s streaming platform. She inspired me to get back to my art after a 20 yr hiatus about a year ago. I have really been enjoying using my ipad as an art tool. I try to stay as traditional as I can, starting with a blank “canvas” and using only one or two brushes. This is for me the best way to get a more traditional look and more easily transition to true traditional painting. The only digital effect used was a touch of canvas texture to give it more of an oil painted look.
