This was a study of a Highland Cow painted using my ipad and an app called Infinite Painter. I try to stay as traditional as I can, starting with a blank “canvas” and using only one or two brushes. With this painting, I used a rougher brush for the foreground and a smoother one for the background to give depth of field. The only digital effect used was an additional canvas texture to mimic a more traditional oil painting.
