I was visiting my 102-year-old grandmother, Lorene Clute, while she sat at her table watching a distant thunderstorm. She had been coloring - one of her favorite pastimes - that's why she's surrounded by 102 colored pencils. I had the perfect opportunity to capture her in a reflective moment. It was not staged; it just happened. This is one of the last photographs of my grandmother. She died a month after this photo was taken.
