“What I wanted to capture in this painting was the sense of tranquility and perspective gained during a walk around the lake, looking back at the steeple on the chapel and Galen Stone Tower atop the academic building. I used oils to indicate the gleam of the lake waters and the protective lushness of the foliage.”
