For this piece I used wood and acrylic paint. My inspiration was the purchase of a new wood burning tool. I used the wood burning tool to create this piece. I also wanted to play with perspective so I created a "foreshortening" self-portrait. This was my first time creating a piece using wood burning. I began with the tread of my boot and worked my way up. I finished by adding the shatters with acrylic paint.
